The Costa Rican bamboo palm (Chamaedorea Costaricana) is an attractive mountain forest clumping palm that reaches a maximum height of about 3 meters in its natural enviroment.
This ornamental palm can be easily kept indoors as it tolerates partial shade. It is also chill resistant down to about 25 degrees Fahrenheit which makes it ideal as an ornamental on temperate climates.
It's canes are similar to bamboo in appearance, although this plant is NOT a bamboo. The leaves are dark green and glossy.
The seeds are very viable and the palms are easy to grow. They are fast growers on moist shady spots.
All of our seeds are freshly harvested from our own forests in Costa Rica.
