Water pump bearings are primarily used in automotive water pumps, basically consisting of standard double row bearings. These bearings are available in two main types: 1) Ball-ball: with two rows of balls; WIB, BWF, WS, WK, 885000 series, etc. 2) Ball-roller: with one row of balls, one row of rollers; WIR, WN, WKH, 665000 series,etc.

Thrust ball bearings can handle loads in the axial direction only. Bearing rings mounted on the shaft are called shaft washers, and those mounted in the housing are called housing washers. Both washers contain raceways for the balls. Thrust ball bearings are available as both single and bi-directional types. The bi-directional thrust bearing incorporates a third washer and an additional set of balls. This center washer is located in the axial direction by a shaft shoulder and sleeve. Care must be taken in handling to prevent damage to the separable rings and ball assemblies. Typical applications: live centers in lathes, lead screws, automotive clutches, kingpin supports, speed reducers

The raceways of both the inner and outer rings of these non-separable bearings are made with set contact angles. The balls are inserted using counter-bore construction,which allows a larger number of balls to be installed than in deep-groove ball bearings. Single-row angular contact ball bearings can sustain radial, axial and momentary loads. However, any axial load must be applied in one direction. Due to their design,angular contact bearings will experience some amount of axial loading from any radial load that is applied. For this reason, they are often used in pairs. We provide various combinations with pre-adjusted clearance to simplify assembly. They are available in a broad range of sizes, from miniature ball bearings with outside diameters of less than 9mm, to extra-large bearings that exceed 800mm in diameter.
