SG7001 is an important basic measurement for power transformer diagnosis. It helps to detect faulty transformer windings as well as defective tap changer positions. This advanced instrument automatically recognizes winding connections and vector group numbers of transformer windings. Just connect the measuring cables and press the start button and get the test results. SG7001 can directly measure the turns ratio of single-phase transformers as well as three-phase transformers. Deviations in these measurements will quickly indicate problems in transformer windings and in the magnetic core circuits. Transformer ratio can change due to several factors, including physical damage from faults, deteriorated insulation, contamination and shipping damage. If a transformer ratio deviates more than 0.5 percent from the rated voltage ratio, it may not operate reliably. To measure small ratio changes such as this, the accuracy of a SG7001 is needed.

The SG5002 high current resistance meters are special designed for high performance measurement of high inductance, low value resistances such as transformer windings, motors, breakers, switchgear etc. Unlike normal resistance meters these instruments have a built-in high-speed discharge circuits for safe discharge of the stored energy in a measured inductance. Operation is fully automatic and the powerful DC test current produces high accuracy and rapid saturation of the test object. So virtually all sizes of transformer can be measured.

The precision power analyzer is mainly applied to measure all kinds of loss and impedance for electric equipments such as power transformer, generator, electric motor. The SG7201 Sweep Frequency Response Analyzer detects transformer winding movements and mechanical failures due to mechanical shock, transportation or short circuits. Here’s how SFRA works: The SF7201 sends an excitation signal into the transformer and measures the returning signals across a broad frequency range. By comparing this response to baseline and other results (such as from similar units), you can identify deviations and confirm internal mechanical problems.

Resonant Test Systems, type SGM is applied for the generation of a continuously variable alternating (AC) voltage of a fixed frequency (mainly 50 or 60 Hz) for high-voltage (HV) routine, type and development testing of capacitive test objects. They can also be applied for HV on-site tests, but SAMGOR offers for that application the more economic solution of frequency-tuned resonant test systems. Tunable reactor modules for series resonant circuits are available between 250 and 1200 kV and test power between 1000 and 20000 Kva.
