Chymotrypsin is a proteolysis enzyme obtained from bovine pancreas by aqueous acid excretion of its precursor, chymotrypsinogen. Each vial of Chymotrypsin contains 5000 U. I of Chymotrypsin. Each ampul (1ml) of solvent contains Sodium Chloride in water for injection as a diluent supplied. A white lyophilized crystalline powder in a clean and colorless ampul and the clean and colorless solution, the diluent supplies, in a clean and colorless ampul.
