Detailed Product Description
Welding electrode coatings, especially low hydrogen electrodes, readily attract moisture in the coating. This moisture is a major cause of weld cracking and porosity.
While plain water itself wouldn t damage the weld, the heat and arc, break down water molecules into their basic elements: hydrogen and oxygen. These elements, in or near the molten weld produce defects in the final weld.
The portable electrode oven have been especially designed in order to avoid these defects by keeping the moisture off the electrode cover.
Te portable oven is very light. The heat is provided by an electric resistance, which is powerful enough to reach easily the desired temperature.
In the model AH2001, a variable thermostat controls temperature and energy consumption. An indicator lights when the resistor is heating.
The inner tube is made in stainless steel to avoid oxidations to affect the electrode s covers.
Its thermal insulation is sufficient to minimize heat losses.
