The ballistic material of the vest is kevlar (aramid fiber), resisting 51 type 7.62mm lead core bullet (velocity 440m/s) shot by chinese 54 type 7.62mm pistol, compatible with NIJ level IIIA+. it also protects against ammunitions of NIJ threat level IIIA, including 9mm FMJ (V 427m/s) by 9mm SMG, and 0.44 Magnum (V 440m/s).
The ballistic area for front and back is 0.28m2.

the outer jacket is waterproof terylene.
